Family Wellness

Are you about to become a new parent or already one?
Do you have concerns about transitions, role changes, fatigue or time management?
Are you experiencing dissatisfaction or stress as a result of parenting?
If you are looking to make a change, we can help you grow into your new role as an engaged and confident parent! Our occupational therapists can assist in creating holistic postpartum care plans, review home modifications and ergonomic considerations, assist with stress reduction strategies and create sustainable routines for you to thrive as a parent. We can help you manage fatigue and return to work and other meaningful activities.
We offer virtual or in-person individualized and collaborative support to birthing and non-birthing parents, temporary and permanent caregivers, during any time of parenthood.
We have registered autism service providers (RASP) and supervised RASPs available to serve children who are preschool aged and school aged. We accept autism funding, at home extended therapies funding, private pay and private insurance.
We provide estimates for and accept approved funding from sources such as MCFD Autism Funding, the At-Home-Program and Metis Wellbeing Program. Therapy sessions cannot begin until funding is approved. Funding cannot be retroactively applied once approved.
Our Services
Our therapists operate on a collaborative approach with families. It is an expectation that legal guardian(s)/parent(s) must be present during the duration of therapy sessions.

Parent Education and Support
Focused on connection and neurodiversity-affirming practice. Our clinicians provide coaching on everyday function, for example toilet training, mealtime routines, and play.

Perinatal Mental Health
Our clinicians offer parents strategies for postpartum mood changes, fatigue, sleep hygiene, routine management, ergonomics for baby/child carrying or feeding, role transitions and transitions back to work down the road. Our occupational therapists also support soon-to-be parents with sensory birthing plans and caesarian recovery postpartum.

Family Wellness and Quality of Life
Our occupational therapists help parents by offering coaching that makes the hardest parts of the day easier. By understanding the needs of both people and the environment, our occupational therapists assist parents in creating routines that reduce stress and improve daily life.

Managing Routines
Our occupational therapists assist parents to develop routines that bring more consistency and structure. This support helps children thrive and makes everyday tasks easier to manage and master.

Strategies for Regulation
Our occupational therapists work with parents and children to plan strategies that meet everyone’s needs. This includes coaching on how to regulate emotions together and offering specific strategies that fit each person. Our occupational therapists also help families understand how the day’s activities can add up and affect everyone.
